Volunteers are essential to keeping Abundant Harvest Food Pantry running efficiently and respectfully for the families we serve across Montgomery County, including Spring, The Woodlands, and New Caney.

If you’re looking for a practical way to help your local community, volunteering with our pantry means assisting with real, hands-on work that directly supports food distribution.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteer roles may include:

  • Packing and sorting food

  • Assisting with pantry distributions

  • Helping during community food distributions at apartment complexes and schools

  • Supporting setup and cleanup during service hours

All volunteer roles help ensure food is distributed safely, smoothly, and with dignity.

When We Need Help

Volunteer opportunities are typically available during:

  • Pantry service days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

  • Community distributions: Mission Woods Apartments, Pineview Apartments, Bellshire Apartments, and Dogwood Elementary School (New Caney)

Schedules vary by location and need.

What to Expect

  • A respectful, organized environment

  • Clear instructions and defined roles

  • Interaction with individuals and families in need

  • A commitment to showing up on time and ready to help

Volunteering with us requires reliability and a willingness to work as part of a team.
